While I was at E3, I met someone in line while waiting to see the gameplay footage for the new Avengers video game. After a while of chatting, we exchanged information and went our separate ways. A few days later he sent me a message about the AT&T Shape event that was being held at Warner Bros. Studios. Curious, I checked it out and decided to tell my friend Jose about it and we both got tickets.

We didn’t really know what to expect seeing as the online schedule for this event seemed to be mainly centered around technology and AR/VR stuff. We did find out they were doing free studio tours so that was a plus. When we arrived the place seemed busy, seeing as there was no place to park. We had to park the car a few miles away on a residential street and take a Lyft just to avoid unnecessary walking.

Once inside, we were greeted by metal detectors and lots of security. When we made it past everything, we walked in and immediately noticed that they converted part of the neighborhoods from various sets into rooms to house all the exhibits by various companies and sponsors. We walked around for a good awhile and checked out a bunch of cool tech demos and took the free studio tour. Which apparently was a condensed 45 minute version of the full 2 hour tour.

Needless to say, the whole event was definitely a unique experience and I’m glad we went!
