Time is a strange concept to me. It's probably one of the few things I always think about and wonder what the origins of it were. Time to me seems like one of the hardest and most difficult concepts to grasp from a very questionable and expanded point of view. But in the end I just snap out of it and look at my phone to see what time it is.
I'm just going to come out and say it up front; the project you all know and were excited and hopeful about is officially done. Dead. Finished. AetherAeon was the perfect project. The content I had access to was incredible. But at times it did prove to be overwhelming.
It's that time of the year again. No, not the holiday season. I'm talking about me updating this damn site. I really suck at keeping up with these things, let alone with the Kardashians. (Kanye in, Lamar out) But now I'm in that certain mindset that lets me get back to these project that matter most to me. And some of those have been going fairly well up until now.
I'm really excited right now. I feel like I've been reunited with an old friend who has changed quite a bit but is still the same cool buddy I used to spend time with so many years ago. I'm talking about a program here, not a real person. But not just any program. I'm talking about Terragen!
Today's my birthday! Woo!! Cue the marching parade! Cue the festivities! Cue the gun-fire! (although that's a common occurrence given the area I live in) I'm now 23 years old and really, at this point I still don't feel old. That's mainly the fact that really, I'm not old at all. After being 22 for the past year, (which really wasn't my choice), it opened my eyes to the fact that there's so much going on around me.
Lately I've been trying to venture back into my roots in design. The style that got me hooked into learning about design was surreal space art. Since I've been into space and astronomy my whole life, it was only natural of me to be drawn to being able to create the stuff I would see illustrated in countless astronomy books I had as a kid.
So here is a new design piece I worked on yesterday. I pretty much started out with a circle and then just went crazy with more shapes, layer styles, blending modes, layer masks, and adjustment layers. Overall it was a fun exploratory piece to work on since I really had no direction whatsoever.
