I’ll be the first to say that I’m no filmmaker, but I do love shooting a good video from time to time. Last week I purchased a camera slider and wanted to test it out and I knew exactly where to go to get some awesome footage. So early Saturday morning, I packed up all my gear and made the journey out to Griffith Park. I drove around for a while trying to find a good spot to set up shop. I drove past the train area and the golf course and eventually ended up near the Mineral Well. I parked my car, grabbed my gear and found a nice bench and got to work. I set up my GoPro on an hour long 360º timelapse and an external mic to capture the sounds of birds, wind, nature, and douchey drivers speeding along on their motorcycles.
Once I had everything set up, I started roaming around the park trying to find some awesome looking scenes to shoot. I put together a short video of some of the footage I shot with music from my band A Circle For Sunday in the background. Anyway, I hope you all like it! This was super fun to do and definitely want to experiment with making more videos like these.
